Overview
The Analytics Collector is a local software module installed directly on Durst printers or embedded devices.
It serves as the data gateway between the machine and the Durst Analytics Cloud, enabling real-time monitoring, performance tracking, and historical reporting.
It ensures reliable, secure, and offline-capable data gathering for all connected Durst machines.
What It Does
The Collector continuously gathers and processes machine data, stores it locally, and syncs it with cloud when a connection is available.
Key responsibilities include:
-
Data Collection
Captures performance metrics, error logs, job data, and material usage. -
Data Processing
Normalizes values, adds timestamps, and enriches with machine context. -
Local Storage
Keeps all data on the device, ensuring no loss during outages. -
Cloud Sync
Uploads data securely and reliably when online, using buffering and retries. -
Local Web Interface
Accessible via browser for real-time metrics, health checks, and basic configuration.
Offline-Ready by Design
The Analytics Collector works seamlessly without an internet connection:
- Continue collecting and storing data locally
- Automatically syncs to cloud once back online
- Embedded interface remains accessible on the machine
- Cloud interface and auto updates pause during offline mode
The Collector guarantees uninterrupted data capture, even in disconnected environments.
